For FW27/28, the surface becomes the primary site of innovation. Material and construction merge into a new design language that moves beyond traditional categories, connecting memory with experimentation, craft with technology, and natural fibres with engineered alternatives.

Classics are reworked through touch, relief and movement. Needle-punched blends soften checks and tartans, brushed yarns create diffused halos, while double constructions, padded layers and thermoformed structures build volume without heaviness. Jacquards become sculptural, patterns rise from the weave, and light reveals textures gradually through metallic, iridescent and glass-like finishes.

At the same time, familiar materials are transformed through contamination. Wool meets nylon, mohair merges with denim and leather, lingerie meshes enter tailoring, and performance membranes acquire a more refined hand. Patinas, oxidation, overdyeing, flocking and pigment deposits introduce irregularity as a deliberate value, replacing uniformity with depth, tactility and a visible sense of process.

The season moves between protection and exposure, density and transparency, softness and structure. Fur-like bio-based surfaces, adaptive reliefs, controlled creases, second-skin layers and engineered volumes expand the role of fabric across fashion, accessories and interiors. What matters is no longer only what a material is made from, but how it behaves, changes, reflects light and interacts with the body.

This is a new culture of the surface: expressive, intelligent and difficult to replicate. A direction driven by quality, material research and responsible innovation, where craftsmanship is not preserved as nostalgia but used as a tool to challenge standardisation and create new forms of contemporary luxury.
