signal, on site

A week ago, we isolated a signal.

In Milan, that signal held with precision. Yellow surfaced through materials that do not simply carry colour, but transform it. Amber glass, resin-like surfaces and lacquered finishes introduced depth, while translucent volumes allowed light to pass, slow down and gain density.

Across installations and objects, colour was never flat or immediate. It appeared absorbed into surfaces, interacting with texture and shifting with thickness, layering and exposure to light. The effect is not purely visual. It is spatial, shaping atmosphere through diffusion and internal movement.

This defines a different behaviour of colour. Yellow moves through accumulation and filtration, building presence gradually through material interaction and controlled light. The dialogue with darker tones reinforces this condition. Browns and deep neutrals anchor the palette, adding weight and stability.

What emerges is a more physical approach to colour. Materials become active agents, defining how light is held and how space is perceived. Colour is no longer applied. It is constructed.
